ARROW by Design have been awarded a contract with Creswell Heritage Trust who operate a museum & heritage centre at Creswell Crags, in Worksop
ARROW by Design are delighted to have been awarded a contract with Creswell Crags a museum & heritage centre located in Worksop Nottinghamshire S80 3LH. It is an archaeological park and education centre. Our contract is to deliver the M&E Engineering design and to carry out the Principal Designer role for RIBA Stages 4 -6.
Project Context
Creswell Heritage Trust oversee Creswell Crags, a renowned Scheduled Ancient Monument (SAM) and Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) in Bolsover. Home to the oldest rock art and largest assemblage of Witch Marks in the UK and the remains of 50,000 years of human history are represented by collections of c.40,000 items, mostly prehistoric.
In 2025 CHT was awarded MEND funding. The Department of Culture Media and Sport funds MEND, which is administered by Arts Council England. The Project was also made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund, with thanks to National Lottery players. This funding will deliver a scheme of urgent M&E works: replacement of environmental controls requiring air source heat pump installation, ground source heat pump, and exhibition lighting upgrades.
This particular element, the appointment of an M&E Engineer and Principal Designer for RIBA Stages 4-6, has been made possible with The National Heritage Lottery Fund, with thanks to National Lottery Players.
